Brainspotting
Brainspotting is a focused-mindfulness technique that uses a specific eye position, held with supportive guided attention, to help your brain locate and process distressing memories, beliefs, or patterns at a deeper, often non-verbal level. Where a memory lives in the brain and body often correlates with where the eyes naturally rest, and brainspotting uses that connection to access material that talk therapy alone can struggle to reach.
Like other body-based approaches offered here, brainspotting does not require you to narrate your trauma in detail. Instead, it works with the body’s own capacity to self-regulate and release stored activation, often surfacing as physical sensation, emotion, or spontaneous insight during the session.
This approach is well suited for trauma, performance anxiety, chronic pain tied to emotional stress, and experiences that feel too big, too old, or too wordless for traditional talk therapy. Intensive sessions are available for clients who want to go deeper in a shorter window of time.
