Internal Family Systems (IFS) & Parts Work

Internal Family Systems, often simply called IFS or parts work, is built on a simple but powerful idea: we are all made up of multiple inner parts, each carrying its own role, memory, and intention. Some parts protect us by keeping us busy, critical, or guarded. Others carry the pain of moments we couldn’t fully process at the time. None of these parts are the enemy, even when their strategies cause problems in our present-day lives.

In our work together, we get curious about these parts instead of fighting them. We identify the parts that push you to perform, the parts that shut down to stay safe, the parts that people-please, and the exiled parts that were left behind long ago. As you build a relationship with your core Self, the compassionate, grounded center that exists beneath all your parts, those protective strategies can finally relax, and your inner system finds more harmony.

IFS is especially effective for anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, relationship struggles, and trauma, because it addresses the root pattern rather than just the symptom on the surface.
