Welcome in! Im glad you’re here.

My name is Lauren‍ ‍

I am a licensed therapist providing telehealth to folks in California, Washington, Virginia, & Florida.

Life includes painful experiences. But when those experiences overwhelm our system, our brains take note — implicitly learn how to protect us from encountering that kind of threat again.

I specialize in helping individuals and couples change those protective patterns — from anxiety & depression, to people-pleasing & perfectionism.

With almost 10 years in practice and seeing the transformations in me from my own therapeutic journey, I have a deep trust in what insight, embodiment, and courageous action can do when practiced (at first) in the therapeutic space.

My work begins with curiosity, not correction.

The responses that feel most frustrating now are often responses that once made sense..

I grew up with a lot of opportunity and not much emotional attunement. I was often left to my own devices, which meant I was lonely, though I never felt loneliness.

I turned inward, toward imagination, curiosity, and an early fascination with patterns: how they form, where they break, and why no two people’s patterns take quite the same shape.

Along the way, I built patterns of my own, including a quiet, self-sabotaging perfectionism that took years to acknowledge and accept. What I eventually learned (through insight & experience) is that my intuition grew out of my vulnerabilities, not in spite of them.

That is at the heart of my work now. We spend our lives building patterns and can mistake them for who we are. When we hold them with curiosity and compassion, the pattern can stop holding us.

Hold the pattern, and it will stop holding you.
